Hyderabad: Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Sudarshan Reddy on Friday, October 30, stressed the need for transparency in the registration of graduate voters for the MLC elections.

Accompanied by the Medchal-Malkajgiri District Collector Manu Chowdary and Additional Collector Vijayender Reddy, he reviewed the registration process at the Alwal municipal office. During the meeting, the CEO enquired about the progress to ensure that it was being conducted smoothly.

They enquired whether the Booth Level Officers (BLOs) were facing any issues during the registration process in the field. They directed that the registration process for graduate voters be expedited and conducted meticulously, ensuring there is no room for errors.

Furthermore, they instructed that the Form 18 applications, along with the submitted degree certificates and other relevant supporting documents, be thoroughly examined before confirming an individual as a voter.

CEO Reddy said that legal action would be taken against those who submit false certificates. Malkajgiri RDO Shyam Prakash, Alwal MRO Ramulu, and other concerned officials participated in this event.
