Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 23 October 2026

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the helloheadlines.com website and the Hello Headlines mobile apps (the “Service”), operated by Hello Headlines (“we”, “us”). By using the Service you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Service.

1. The Service

Hello Headlines is a news aggregator. We show headlines, short summaries, images and links to stories published by other publishers, grouped by topic and updated through the day. Most stories open on the publisher’s own website; full articles appear inside Hello Headlines only where the publisher has permitted it. We also publish some content of our own, such as videos, web stories and e-newspaper editions.

We may add, change or remove features at any time, and the Service may sometimes be unavailable for maintenance or for reasons beyond our control.

2. Who can use the Service

You must be at least 18, or use the Service with the consent and supervision of a parent or guardian.

3. Your account

You can read Hello Headlines without an account. Some features, such as comments, synced bookmarks and Premium, need one. Give accurate information, keep your password and one-time codes private, and tell us straight away if you think someone else has used your account. You are responsible for activity on your account. You can stop using the Service at any time and ask us to delete your account.

4. News from other publishers

  • Stories from other publishers are written, edited and owned by those publishers, who are responsible for their content and accuracy. We name the publisher on every story.
  • We don’t check, endorse or guarantee third-party stories, and the views in them are the publishers’ own, not ours.
  • Links to publisher websites take you outside Hello Headlines. Those websites have their own terms and privacy policies, and we aren’t responsible for them.

Our Disclaimer explains more.

5. Comments and community rules

You own the comments you post. By posting, you give Hello Headlines a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to host, display and distribute them as part of the Service. Comments are public and show your name.

Don’t post anything that:

  • belongs to someone else and you have no right to share;
  • is defamatory, obscene, pornographic, paedophilic, invasive of another person’s privacy (including bodily privacy), insulting or harassing on the basis of gender, racially or ethnically objectionable, or promotes money laundering or gambling;
  • is harmful to children;
  • infringes a patent, trademark, copyright or other proprietary right;
  • deceives or misleads people about where a message came from, or knowingly spreads misinformation or information that is patently false;
  • impersonates another person;
  • threatens the unity, integrity, defence, security or sovereignty of India, friendly relations with foreign states or public order, or incites any offence;
  • contains viruses or other malicious code;
  • is spam or advertising, or otherwise breaks the law.

Use the report option to tell us about comments that break these rules. We may remove any comment, and suspend or close accounts that break these Terms.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • copy, scrape or harvest content or data from the Service by automated means, or republish it, except as the law allows (search engines may index our public pages as our robots.txt permits);
  • interfere with or disrupt the Service, get around its security or limits, or access it other than through the website and apps we provide;
  • reverse-engineer the apps, except where the law allows;
  • generate fake ad views or clicks, or manipulate reactions, rankings or trending stories;
  • use the Service for anything unlawful, fraudulent or harmful.

7. Intellectual property

The Hello Headlines name, logo, design and software, and the content we create, belong to us or our licensors. Stories, images and trademarks from other publishers belong to their owners. You may use the Service for your personal, non-commercial use; these Terms don’t give you any other right to use our content or anyone else’s.

If you believe content on Hello Headlines infringes your copyright, see “Copyright and removal requests” in our Disclaimer.

8. Premium membership

  • Premium plans, their prices and their benefits are shown in the app before you pay.
  • Payments are processed by our payment providers. Your membership starts once your payment is confirmed and lasts for the period of the plan you bought.
  • You can cancel at any time. Cancelling stops any renewal, and your benefits continue until the end of the period you’ve paid for.
  • Payments are non-refundable, except where the law requires a refund or you were charged in error. If something went wrong with a payment, contact us and we’ll put it right.
  • We may change plans and prices, but changes won’t affect a period you’ve already paid for.

9. Advertising

The Service may show advertisements and sponsored content, which are labelled. We aren’t responsible for advertisers’ products, services or websites; any dealings you have with an advertiser are between you and them.

10. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we make no promises, express or implied, about the Service or its content, including that it will be accurate, complete, uninterrupted or free of errors. News on Hello Headlines is general information, not professional, financial, legal, medical or other advice.

11. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Hello Headlines is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for loss of data, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service or any third-party content on it. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim.

12. Indemnity

You agree to compensate Hello Headlines for claims, losses and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) that arise from content you post or from your breach of these Terms or the law.

13. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or end your access to the Service if you break these Terms, if the law requires it, or if we stop offering the Service. Sections that by their nature should continue — such as intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability and governing law — continue after your access ends.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We’ll change the “Last updated” date and, for significant changes, let you know in the app or by email. If you keep using the Service after the changes take effect, you accept the updated Terms.

15. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts in India have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them. Before going to court, please contact us — most concerns can be resolved quickly.

16. Grievance Officer

In line with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules made under it, you can send complaints about content on the Service or about these Terms to our Grievance Officer at grievance@helloheadlines.com. We acknowledge complaints within 24 hours and resolve them within 15 days. See our Contact Us page.
