CM Revanth putting 550 acres of Miyapur land up for sale to benefit proxies: MP Vaddiraju

Khammam: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has been trying to put 550 acres of public land in Miyapur in Hyderabad up for sale to hand it over to his benamis (proxies), alleged BRS MP Vaddiraju Ravichandra.
Former Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao had taken steps to protect the 550 acres of prime land in Miyapur from being alienated by engaging eminent advocate Vaidyanathan to fight a legal battle in the Supreme Court.
As soon as the court delivered its verdict in favour of the State government, Revanth Reddy started efforts to sell off the land worth over Rs 25, 000 crore thereby depriving future generations of its social benefits, which was highly objectionable, Ravichandra noted.
He alleged that the Chief Minister, Ministers and MLAs from the ruling party were encroaching upon lands acting as real estate developers and plundering the State. While the BRS regime acquired land for a ‘Pharma City,’ Revanth Reddy rebranded the project as a ‘Future City’, to serve his own interests.
Speaking to the media here on Saturday along with MLCs Tata Madhusudhan and Takkallapalli Ravinder Rao, the BRS MP found fault with the Chief Minister, Ministers and the ruling party MPs, MLAs, MLCs and other leaders for abandoning governance in the State and camping in Delhi instead.
Ravichandra pointed out that Revanth Reddy, who had achieved nothing during his 34-month tenure- failed to secure even a single paisa in funds from Delhi, frequents Delhi having made the trip nearly 90 times neglecting the governance in the State.
Chandrashekhar Rao through his visionary leadership, constructed the multi-stage Kaleshwaram project, which filled tanks and ponds, raised groundwater levels and transformed the State into a lush, green landscape, ensuring abundant crop yields.
Yet Revanth Reddy has shown gross negligence and malice by failing to carry out the necessary repairs to the collapsed pillars of the project, despite the advice of senior dam safety officials.
He thereby allowed around 800 TMC of Godavari waters to flow downstream instead of harnessing them, effectively paying ‘Guru dakshina’ to his mentor, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu despite knowing the adverse impact of El Niño, Ravichandra added.
