Telangana aims to emerge as leading electronics manufacturing hub: Sridhar Babu

Hyderabad: Industries Minister D Sridhar Babu said the State government had accorded priority to the manufacturing sector, which registered a growth of 7.7 percent during 2025–26. The manufacturing sub-sector contributed Rs.1.37 lakh crore to the State’s Gross State Value Added (GSVA).
Telangana aims to emerge as one of India’s leading electronics manufacturing destinations by strengthening its industrial ecosystem, with a focus on technology, innovation and manufacturing, he said on Saturday.
Inaugurating Mivi’s new manufacturing facility at E-City, Tukkuguda, the Minister said the facility, established by Aavishkaran Industries Private Limited with an investment of Rs.200 crore, would strengthen the State’s electronics manufacturing ecosystem.
As part of the Telangana Rising–2047 vision, the government was working to strengthen electronics manufacturing clusters and hardware parks. The State also aimed to expand its presence in chip design, semiconductor manufacturing and electronic component production.
The government was seeking to attract companies across the entire electronics value chain, from research and product design to component manufacturing and finished products. Efforts were also under way to integrate local industries with global supply chains, Sridhar Babu said.
Hyderabad-based Mivi manufactures audio products, including earbuds, headphones, speakers and soundbars. With the launch of its Mivi One 5G smartphone, the company has also entered the smartphone manufacturing segment.
