Sania Mirza, Shoaib Malik’s latest pics with son grab attention

Hyderabad: Indian tennis star Sania Mirza and her ex-husband, former Pakistan cricket captain Shoaib Malik, may have gone their separate ways, but when it comes to parenting their son, Izhaan Mirza Malik, they continue to put up a united front.
Izhaan turned eight on October 30, and both parents made sure to make his special day memorable. Sania, her family and Shoaib came together to celebrate the occasion, with the birthday festivities spanning two days.
Sharing glimpses from the celebrations on Instagram, Sania’s father, Imran Mirza, revealed that the family had planned a series of activities for the birthday boy. From a football match and birthday cakes to brunch and a visit to the Warner Bros. World theme park in Abu Dhabi, the celebrations were filled with fun.
“We had a 2-day celebration of Izhaan’s 8th birthday as family and friends turned up in large numbers. There was a football match followed by cakes and refreshments, brunch the next morning and then a visit to the Warner Brothers Theme Park in Abu Dhabi. Wishing dearest Izzy the very best in the year ahead,” he wrote.

Sania Mirza on raising Izhaan as a child of high-achieving parents
While the former couple have maintained separate lives, they have continued to celebrate important milestones in their son’s life. Sania has also spoken about the challenges of raising a child who is constantly in the public eye.
In an earlier interview with News18, the tennis champion opened up about the expectations surrounding Izhaan, especially given that he was born to two celebrated sportspersons.
She revealed that even before his birth, people would ask whether he would choose tennis or cricket. Sania said she wanted to protect her son from such expectations and give him as normal a childhood as possible, while also acknowledging that his circumstances were different from those of other children.
