Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Tuesday, November 3, ordered the irrigation officials to continue the dialogue with the Maharashtra government on the proposed construction of the Tummidihatti barrage.

The CM said this during a review meeting on the Tummidihetti barrage at his Jubilee Hills residence. Irrigation Minister N Uttam Kumar Reddy was also present.

Instructing the authorities to be prepared with comprehensive details of the submerged areas, he emphasised that all relevant documents should be exchanged with the Maharashtra government.

The CM said the government is prepared to provide adequate compensation for any land in Maharashtra that may be affected by submergence and was also ready to deposit funds into a joint account of the two state governments.

He noted that the state would not object to Maharashtra conducting its own survey on the potential submergence of lands. The officials were ordered to furnish all the information sought by Maharashtra promptly. Irrigation Advisor Adityanath Das, Secretary to the Irrigation Department, Sridhar, Engineer-in-Chief, Irrigation, Ramesh, and other senior officials were present at the meeting.
