Hyderabad: Hyderabad Disaster Response and Asset Protection Agency (HYDRAA) removed encroachments from two parks in the Rangareddy district and the Medchal-Malkajgiri district, respectively.

In the Manjeera Colony in Kuntlur village in the Rangareddy district, HYDRAA reclaimed a 577-square-yard park area. Here, land designated as a park was allegedly sold off as individual plots. When buyers began constructing boundary walls, Colony representatives approached HYDRAA during a ‘Prajavani’ (public grievance redressal) session.

The plot HYDRAA secured from encroachments on Tuesday, Nov 3, 2026.

After a field inspection, HYDRAA confirmed that the site was a park, according to the approved layout, so it demolished the compound walls, installed signage identifying the area as a park, and erected fencing around the site.

HYDRAA removed three illegal borewells and 3 sumps from Tellapur village in Sangareddy district.

Likewise, in Sri Lakshmi Nagar Colony in Chengicherla in the Medchal-Malkajgiri district, HYDRAA secured a 639-square-yard plot of land—designated for public use and a park—by installing fencing around it. This land was also allegedly divided into plots and sold off, and the buyers then put up precast walls.
Residents lodged a complaint through the HYDRAA ‘Prajavani’ (public grievance redressal) platform.

HYDRAA demolished the boundary walls, installed fencing around the plot, and placed signboards.

HYDRAA has already removed seven borewells and six water sumps in Tellapur village, Ramachandrapuram mandal, Sangareddy district. In the same area, it removed three more borewells and three sumps.
