Trump's Warning: Donald Trump Says Impeachment Could Destroy the Democratic Party

Donald Trump has faced questions about the possibility of impeachment after his party lost its majority in the midterm elections. Responding sharply, Trump said impeachment without a reason would destroy the Democratic Party, arguing that the country was more successful than at any point in its history. Meanwhile, Democratic candidate Abdul El-Sayed secured a victory in Michigan, defeating Republican Mike Rogers, a former FBI agent and senator, in the Senate race. According to the figures cited in the report, El-Sayed received around 52% of the vote, while Rogers secured approximately 45.5%. The victory drew attention because Trump had repeatedly attacked El-Sayed during the campaign, calling him a “jihadist” and accusing him of links to the Muslim Brotherhood. El-Sayed responded after his win by saying that his name and faith were not responsible for Americans struggling with the cost of fuel and groceries. Former President Barack Obama had also campaigned in Detroit in support of him. A 42-year-old doctor and public health expert, El-Sayed was born in Michigan to Egyptian immigrant parents. He also has an India connection: his wife, Dr Sara Zukaku, is from Karnataka.
