Siddipet: The death of a woman who gave birth to a baby in a private hospital sparked protests in Gajwel town on Thursday. The kin of the deceased staged a protest holding the doctors responsible for her death. The doctors at the RVR Hospital in Gajwel performed delivery to Pasula Kalpana (22), a resident of Wargal, last Saturday.

Kalpana delivered a baby boy. However, her condition turned critical immediately after the delivery when the doctors suggested the kin rush her to a private hospital where she died while undergoing treatment on Wednesday.

Accusing the doctors at the RVR Hospital responsible for her death, the kin staged a rasta-roko on Gajwel-Pragnapur road. Even though police led by Inspector Ravi Kumar reached the place and tried to convince them, they refused to relent.
