Bhupalpally: A married woman along with her paramour allegedly killed her husband and disposed of the body on the outskirts of a village in the district.

According to police, the deceased, Ajmeera Chandu Naik (40) of Gollabuddharam thanda in Bhupalpally mandal got married to the woman Pavani of the same thanda in 2014. They were making a living by farming.

Meanwhile, Pavani indulged in an extramarital affair with a youth Daravath Santhosh of the thanda. It led to frequent clashes between Pavani and Chandu Naik. A panchayat in the presence of the community and thanda elders was scheduled to be held on Friday to discuss the matter.

It was suspected that Pavani and Santhosh, who felt that their affair would be exposed if the panchayat was held as scheduled, killed Chandu Naik during mid-night hours on Friday. They took the body on a bullock cart and dumped it in a farm field on the outskirts of Chikinapalli.

The locals who spotted the corpse in the field informed the police. Upon receiving information Bhupalpally DSP, A Sampath Rao, CIs Srinivas and Karunakar visited the spot. A case was registered based on the complaint of the deceased man’s family and investigation is underway.
