IFL 2026-27: Sreenidi Deccan face Real Kashmir after winning season opener

Hyderabad: Sreenidi Deccan FC will face Real Kashmir FC in their second match of the Indian Football League (IFL) 2026-27 season on Saturday. The match is scheduled to kick off at 6.30 pm at the TRC Stadium in Srinagar.

The Deccan Warriors registered a 1-0 away victory against Rajasthan United FC in their season opener, while the Snow Leopards suffered a 3-1 defeat at home against league debutants Nagaland United FC.

Speaking ahead of the crucial encounter, head coach Antonio Rueda said, “Real Kashmir didn’t have the ideal start to the season, but they have always been a difficult opponent. For us, it was important to start the season with a win, but that’s in the past now. Our entire focus is on Real Kashmir FC, and we want to secure our second win.”

Veteran midfielder Brandon Vanlalremdika, meanwhile, highlighted the positive impact of the opening victory on the team’s morale, saying, “It was a good feeling to start the season with a win, and it has boosted the morale of the team. But we must stay focused and carry this momentum into tomorrow’s match.”
