AceVector Q2 Loss Surges 116% YoY To ₹16.2 Cr, Revenue Up 17%

Snapdeal parent AceVector’s net loss for the September quarter (Q2) of FY27 zoomed 116% to ₹16.2 Cr from ₹7.5 Cr in the year-ago quarter. Sequentially, the company trimmed its loss by 37% from ₹25.5 Cr.

Operating revenue increased 17% YoY and 13% QoQ to ₹151.2 Cr. Including other income of ₹2.6 Cr, total income for the quarter stood at ₹153.8 Cr.

Meanwhile, total expenses for the quarter also increased 22% YoY to ₹168.7 Cr. Logistics expense was the biggest chunk of expense during the quarter and increased 20% YoY to ₹71.4 Cr.

AceVector listed on the bourses earlier this month post completing its ₹420 Cr IPO. The company had disclosed its financial performance for the fiscal year FY26 in its IPO papers.

For the first half of the ongoing fiscal year, the company’s consolidated revenue grew by 17% YoY to ₹285.5 Cr, supported by growth across Snapdeal and Unicommerce.

In this, both Snapdeal and Unicommerce, AceVector’s primary business engines, registered 15% YoY jump in revenue to ₹164.4 Cr and ₹110.4 Cr, respectively.

Meanwhile, the company’s consolidated Adjusted EBITDA loss for the half stood at ₹26.9 Cr. This is about triple the ₹9.3 Cr adjusted EBITDA loss incurred in H1 FY26.

AceVector said that the increased loss was due to higher marketing investments in preparation of the festive season and temporary logistics cost pressures at Snapdeal due to macroeconomic factors, alongside investments in Unicommerce to support long-term growth.

Snapdeal’s Operational Performance

Snapdeal’s net merchandise value (NMV) from fashion grew 31% to ₹407.6 Cr in H1 FY27, accounting for 68.4% of the marketplace’s overall NMV. The value fashion platform’s overall NMV rose 10% to ₹595.7 Cr, while delivered units increased 16% to 150.5 lakh.

The growth was driven by rising demand for value fashion and higher app adoption. App-delivered units grew 23% YoY to 133.6 lakh during the half-year, while annual transacting customers increased 12% to 1.31 Cr. Placed order frequency also rose 11% to 4.1 times a year.

However, Snapdeal said the shift in festive shopping to Q3 FY27 moderated its Q2 and H1 growth. Early festive momentum has been encouraging, with units growing 60% YoY in the first half of October.

The company also stepped up marketing investments in Q2 to acquire new users ahead of the festive season. These investments are expected to have an impact in Q3 FY27 as well.

On profitability, Snapdeal’s contribution margin improved to 10.2% of NMV in Q2 FY27 from 8.8% in Q1, as temporary logistics cost pressures eased and monetisation improved. Its Adjusted EBITDA margin also narrowed to -5.2% of NMV in Q2 from -8.5% in Q1, aided by the recovery in contribution margin and lower marketing and fixed expenses as a proportion of NMV.

Snapdeal is positioning itself as a value fashion destination for younger shoppers, with products largely priced between ₹300 and ₹800.

Its zero-commission model is intended to attract a wider seller base, including small manufacturers and regional businesses, while allowing sellers greater flexibility in pricing. Snapdeal said nearly 65% of its new customers are Gen Z shoppers and more than 80% of its sales come from non-metro towns.

Unicommerce Revenue Grows 15%

AceVector’s other key business, ecommerce software provider Unicommerce, reported a 15% YoY increase in H1 FY27 revenue to ₹110.4 Cr from ₹96.3 Cr. Its Adjusted EBITDA, however, declined to ₹16.7 Cr from ₹19.7 Cr as it invested in AI-led product innovation, talent and capacity, particularly across sales and marketing.

Unicommerce added 121 enterprise clients in Q2 FY27, compared with 103 in the year-ago quarter. Its enterprise client additions increased 24% YoY to 236 in H1 FY27 from 191 in H1 FY26.

The company expects profitability to improve in the second half as incremental investments moderate and revenue growth creates operating leverage. It also expects Shipway, its shipping and logistics platform, to return to Adjusted EBITDA profitability in Q3 FY27.

Important to mention that Unicommerce announced its quarterly performance earlier last week. The ecommerce SaaS company eported a consolidated net profit of ₹6.4 Cr in the September quarter while operating revenue grew 15% YoY and QoQ to ₹59.1 Cr during the quarter.

Shares of AceVector ended today’s trading session 0.96% higher at ₹20.93 apiece on the BSE .
