Hyderabad: A 13-year-old girl from Hyderabad, who went missing on October 24, has been traced to a dargah in Ajmer, Rajasthan.

Samreen Begum, a student at a local madrassa, went missing from Aman Nagar. Her family approached the Rein Bazar Police on Sunday, following which a missing person complaint was registered.

During the investigation, CCTV footage showed her walking with another Muslim girl, whose identity remains unknown.

On Tuesday, October 27, AIMIM MLA Jaffar Hussain Meraj confirmed that Samreen and her companion were found in Rajasthan’s Ajmer and were under the local police’s care. Speaking to local media, the MLA said that efforts are underway to bring the children back to Hyderabad.
