According to sources, early Tuesday morning, the deceased, Sathish Reddy of the Nava Bharat area, had stopped at a local junction to have tea, parking his motorcycle on the roadside. The accident took place just as he was getting back onto his bike to head home.

It was learnt that a bus belonging to BSR Travels, travelling from Hyderabad to Bhadrachalam, had its luggage compartment door left open. As the bus moved forward, the open door struck Sathish Reddy’s head with great force, killing him instantly.
