Hyderabad: DP World Professional Golf Tour of India (DP World PGTI), the official governing and sanctioning body of men’s professional golf in India, and Business Today, India’s premier business multiverse, announced a partnership at the Qutub Golf Course, New Delhi, highlighting a shared ambition to bridge corporate leadership and professional sport, bringing fresh energy and excitement to the game.

The preview event featured DP World PGTI President and cricket icon Kapil Dev, alongside professional golfers and senior editors, who gathered for a pitch-and-putt session to mark the return of the prestigious corporate golf property.

The ongoing collaboration strategically merges Business Today’s deep-rooted connection with India’s business ecosystem with DP World PGTI’s professional tournament expertise. Together, the organizations aim to drive mainstream visibility, spark deeper engagement among business professionals, and bring the sport closer to a broader audience.
As part of this growth strategy, the tournament will maintain its popular multi-city format across major corporate hubs, with plans already underway to add more locations in the future.

Kapil Dev, President, DP World PGTI, said, “We aim to encourage India Inc to experience the discipline, patience, and sportsmanship that golf represents. It is encouraging to see Business Today and DP World PGTI working together to take the sport to a wider audience.”

Speaking about the partnership Dinesh Bhatia, Group CEO, India Today Group, said, “BT Golf has, over the years, created a distinctive platform at the intersection of sport and business. By strengthening our partnership with the DP World PGTI, we are committed to expanding the horizons of Indian golf, making it more visible and engaging for corporate leaders and sports enthusiasts alike.”

Sharing his perspective on the partnership, Amandeep Johl, CEO, DP World PGTI, said, “Our partnership with Business Today brings together the worlds of professional golf and corporate India. BT Golf provides a wonderful platform to promote the sport and its values of integrity, discipline and sportsmanship. Importantly, this partnership will greatly benefit our professional golfers by providing them with a unique opportunity to interact and build meaningful relationships with some of India’s leading business leaders. We look forward to expanding the reach of golf and creating greater opportunities for our players.”

Mr Alok Nair, Chief Operating Officer, Business Today said, “For over three decades, Business Today has been at the forefront of India’s business conversations, connecting influential leaders and shaping the nation’s corporate narrative. Business Today Golf is where business meets the greens. What makes BT Golf truly special is the community it has built while being India’s first corporate golf platform since 27 years. Year after year, it brings together some of the sharpest minds from across industries in a spirit of healthy competition and camaraderie.
