Hyderabad: Dhoolpet police arrests 2, seizes 6.2 kg ganja

Hyderabad: The Dhoolpet Prohibition and Excise police seized 6.2 kg of ganja, Rs 10,000 in cash and an electric scooter, collectively valued at around Rs 3.50 lakh, and arrested two persons allegedly involved in the illegal drug trade.

The arrested persons were identified as Suresh Singh, alias Tinku Singh, and Pramod More.

According to Excise Circle Inspector Praveen Kumar, the duo allegedly procured ganja from Odisha and was transporting it on an electric scooter to sell it in Dhoolpet.

The Excise team intercepted them near the Shiva temple in the Ziaguda area of Dhoolpet and also seized three mobile phones from their possession, the CI said.
