‘Pookie Baba’ of Vrindavan has social media gushing over him

There’s a new ‘pookie’ baba on the Internet these days. A spiritual guru from Vrindavan has suddenly found himself in the news, and for perhaps the last reason a Katha Vachak would expect: his looks.
If it was Aniruddhacharya ji being called ‘pookie’ a while back, now it is Shri Shashwat Acharya.
No one has confirmed Shri Shashwat Acharya’s age, but he appears fairly young. AI suggests that he is 19, but there is no way to verify that.
His Instagram bio describes him as “Young Bhagwat Katha Vachak”. He also calls himself the Peethadhishwar of Shridham Goda Vihar Mandir in Vrindavan.
Acharya regularly shares short videos from his religious gatherings on Instagram, while his YouTube accounts featured full courses. But lately, it was not just his spiritual talk videos that were getting attention.
His Instagram has 31.8k followers, and he posts his short videos regularly there, building a following slowly but steadily. His initial videos garnered views in the thousands, but now he has crossed the million mark too.
On his YouTube channel, however, where he posts longer discourses, he has 3.05K followers.
Social media users are calling him pookie, some claiming to have suddenly discovered faith, while others claiming that suddenly, they have lost their hearing but can only see.
