Riyadh: The Saudi-led Coalition has carried out a precision military operation to neutralise resources allegedly used by Yemen’s Houthi militia to support its military activities.

In a statement on X on Sunday, November 1, Major General Turki Al-Maliki, spokesperson for the Coalition to Restore Legitimacy in Yemen, said the operation was conducted in response to continued attacks targeting civilians and civilian infrastructure in Yemen and Saudi Arabia.

Al-Maliki accused the Houthis of exploiting vital resources to strengthen their military capabilities, particularly their ballistic missile and drone programmes.

He said the Coalition had identified the use of these resources to sustain the group’s military operations and support further attacks.

The operation was carried out on Sunday morning to disrupt resources that the Coalition said were being used to conduct attacks and threaten the security of Saudi Arabia, Yemen and maritime shipping lanes in the southern Red Sea.

Al-Maliki said the Coalition would continue taking operational measures to prevent the Houthis from using such resources to support their military activities.

He also called on the group to halt attacks against civilians and civilian infrastructure, warning that it would face consequences for continuing its operations.
