Old And Unrelated Visuals Shared As INDIA Bloc Ramlila Maidan Rally

Image: BOOM Live

Unrelated visuals of crowd being dispersed by police forces and a mob vandalising a car are being falsely shared on social media as footage from the recent INDIA Bloc rally at Ramlila Maidan in Delhi on November 1, 2026.

BOOM found that videos are from Bangladesh and Argentina.

On November 1, the INDIA bloc held a "Chalo Dilli" rally and protest in Delhi's Ramlila, demanding Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar's resignation. Opposition leaders, including Congress MP Rahul Gandhi, Samajwadi Party Chief Akhilesh Yadav, and former West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, joined the march.

Claim 1: Video shows 4 Congress worker killed during Ram Lila Maidan rally
Two videos, one in which security forces can be seen chasing a crowd, and a second video where people can be seen vandalising a car, are being shared with the claim that four Congress workers were killed when Delhi Police opened fire on November 1.

🚨My India Is Burning😭 4 Congress workers have reportedly been killed and 10 injured in Delhi Police firing. 🚨The situation remains tense, with reports of attacks on embassies in #Delhi @DelhiPolice https://t.co/aGY27lkjf1

We ran a reverse image search and found the same visuals posted byTalash BD on Facebook.

The second video has a watermark 'MohonaTV.' Taking a cue from this, we searched the Facebook page of Bangladeshi news outlet Mohona TV and found the video posted on November 1. The caption states that it shows an incident of vandalism during a garment workers’ protest in Mirpur.

2) News reports of garment workers' protest in Bangladesh: According to news reports garment workers clashed with the police in Mirpur 10, Dhaka, demanding a minimum monthly wage.

3) Statement from Delhi Police: Delhi Police posted a statement on X stating that the video was from Bangladesh and had no connection to any ongoing events.

Furthermore, there are no news reports about Delhi Police opening fire during the November 1 protest in Ramlila Maidan.

Claim 2: Videos show crowd visuals from the Ramlila Maidan protest
Two videos showing drone footage of a large crowd are being shared on social media, falsely claiming that they are from the November 1 protest.

Videos from Buenos Aires after Argentina's World Cup win in 2022: We ran a reverse image search and found the first video posted by the X handle @pilludinho on December 19, 2022, following Argentina's 2022 World Cup victory. The second video was originally posted by the Instagram handle @esreviral on December 20, 2022 with a caption that people gathered in Buenos Aires to celebrate the World Cup win.
