PB Fintech, which operates the insurance and credit marketplaces Policybazaar and Paisabazaar, reported a 43% year-on-year (YoY) jump in consolidated net profit to Rs 192.4 crore for the second quarter ended September 2026.

The company had reported a profit of Rs 134.9 crore in the same quarter last year. Sequentially, its profit rose 18% from Rs 162.9 crore in Q1 FY27.

Revenue from operations surged 35% to Rs 2,177.7 crore, compared with Rs 1,613.6 crore in Q2 FY26. On a quarter-on-quarter basis, revenue grew 15% from Rs 1,888.3 crore.

Insurance broker services contributed Rs 2,015.2 crore, accounting for roughly 93% of the company’s operating revenue. Under this vertical, PB Fintech provides insurance brokerage services in India and the UAE.

Other services, which include commissions from financial product aggregation, online marketing, consulting and support services, generated revenue of Rs 162.5 crore in Q2 FY27, down 12% from Rs 185.4 crore a year earlier.

Core online business

PB Fintech’s core online business comprises Policybazaar and Paisabazaar.

The company said total insurance premiums grew 38% YoY to Rs 9,385 crore during the quarter, led by 42% growth in new protection premiums, which include health and term insurance.

Revenue from the core insurance business stood at Rs 1,211 crore, up 42% from Rs 852 crore a year earlier.

As of September 2026, 172.6 million consumers had registered on the Policybazaar platform. Of these, 29.7 million were transacting consumers, meaning they had purchased at least one insurance policy through Policybazaar. The company claims to have sold 76.6 million policies to date.

Growth in the credit business remained relatively muted, with Paisabazaar reporting revenue of Rs 125 crore, an 18% year-on-year increase from Rs 106 crore. The platform also saw a sharp decline in loan disbursals. In Q2 FY27, it disbursed loans worth Rs 4,739 crore, 46% less than the Rs 8,750 crore disbursed in the corresponding quarter last year.

In its investor presentation, the company claimed that core online loan disbursals grew 22% YoY. However, it did not provide a breakup of core online and non-core loan disbursals.

In Q2 FY27, Paisabazaar added 2.8 million new consumers. To date, 63.4 million consumers have accessed the platform to check their credit scores, of whom 8.2 million are transacting consumers. The platform claimed to have issued 4 lakh credit cards during the quarter and recorded an average of 3.3 million monthly enquiries related to credit products.

Meanwhile, PB Fintech’s new initiatives, which include PB Partners, PB for Business, PB UAE, PB Connect, PB Pay and Pensionbazaar, continued to gain momentum. Revenue from this segment rose to Rs 842 crore from Rs 655 crore in the year-ago quarter.
