TVS’ Norton Reveals New 450 cc Urban Motorcycle Ahead Of Launch

GaadiWaadi -
The new 454 cc single-cylinder Norton Urban develops 45 Nm and gets an aluminium frame in addition to a large 8-inch TFT touchscreen
The new Norton 450 cc motorcycle enters a smaller displacement category than the recently unveiled Manx and Atlas models. The liquid-cooled 454 cc single-cylinder engine produces 45 Nm of peak torque. Norton has not announced the final model name yet. The motorcycle is scheduled to enter sales in 2027. Full power output and detailed chassis specifications are also pending.
The aluminium frame forms the core of the chassis package. Norton says the frame has been developed around agile handling and rider confidence. The company has not disclosed kerb weight, suspension travel, braking hardware or fuel tank capacity yet. The 454 cc engine has been calibrated for accessible response across regular road speeds. More technical data should arrive closer to the market launch.
The cockpit gets an 8-inch TFT touchscreen. The display is notably large for a motorcycle in this capacity class and supports connected functions. The bodywork follows the design language introduced across the latest Norton range. The proportions are relatively compact and the riding position looks upright from the official material. Final equipment could differ across individual markets once sales start.

The Manx, Manx R, Atlas and Atlas GT formed that initial group. European deliveries of the Manx R and Atlas have already begun. The Manx and Atlas GT are scheduled to arrive later. The Manx R also received the Red Dot: Best of the Best distinction at the 2026 Red Dot Award: Design Concept.
The new 450 cc model will also sit below those larger motorcycles in Norton global range. The smaller engine capacity could place the motorcycle in a more accessible part of the market once pricing is announced. The official launch plan covers 2027. Norton has not disclosed individual country dates yet. India and the United States are among markets tied to the next stage of the company retail rollout.
The development work draws on engineering centres in the UK, Italy and India. The Solihull operation handles core motorcycle design and development. The TVS Motor global engineering centre in Italy also contributes technical work. The company R&D headquarters in India provides another development base. The three locations support Norton new product pipeline as the brand prepares more motorcycles for international sales.
The retail operation is also set to grow alongside the new motorcycles. Norton has more than 50 retail locations across 10 markets and has developed a new store concept in collaboration with Foster + Partners. The network currently covers markets such as the UK, Italy, France, Germany and Spain. The remaining specs, final model name, production equipment and market specific pricing should be announced before sales begin in 2027.
