Mohammad Tayab earns Man of the Match honours as Lone Star Academy defeats Foundation World School in an Under-8 tournament organised to promote young football talent.

At an age when most children are still discovering the game, Mohammad Tayab has already begun making his mark on Kashmir’s football fields.

The young Lone Star Academy player produced an impressive performance against Foundation World School in an Under-8 football encounter organised jointly by Reliance Foundation Youth Sports (RFYS) and JK Youth Sports.

His display of skill, agility and sportsmanship earned him the Man of the Match award.

The match brought together young players from both academies, with the teams showing considerable energy and enthusiasm.

Tayab, however, stood out for his performance, drawing appreciation from spectators and tournament organisers.

A tournament representative congratulated the youngster, describing his achievement as an encouraging sign of the talent emerging through grassroots football in the region.

“We extend our warmest wishes to Mohammad Tayab for this outstanding achievement,” the representative said. “It is inspiring to see such young talent excel, and we wish him a bright future with many more victories and milestones ahead on the football pitch.”

Tayab’s recognition also highlights the growing importance of organised competitions in introducing children to football at an early age.

Grassroots tournaments give young players opportunities to develop technical skills, learn teamwork and gain experience in competitive settings.

The RFYS-JK Youth Sports tournament aims to develop young football talent in Kashmir, giving players like Tayab an early platform to shine.
