Mumbai: For Shah Rukh Khan fans, November 2 comes with a familiar wait outside Mannat. This year, as the superstar turned 61, those who gathered outside his Bandra home got the glimpse they had come for. SRK appeared at the railing in a white T-shirt, looked down at the fans below and raised his black cap high in the air.

SRK greets fans at Mannat

In a video shared on Instagram by Sneh Zala, Shah Rukh is seen with his cap back on in another moment, bringing a hand to his forehead in a salute. The clip is set to Shaan’s “Dastaan-E-Om Shanti Om,” a familiar tune for fans of the actor’s 2007 film.

One fan’s “finally” in the comments captured the excitement of seeing him at Mannat again. Another posted a GIF of a silver-haired SRK looking over his sunglasses, with the word “KING” repeated behind him.

Over the years, greeting fans from Mannat has become one of Shah Rukh’s most loved birthday traditions. For those who usually see him on a cinema screen, the draw is simple. On his birthday, they get to look up and see him wave back.
