Exclusive: Nuuk To Raise ₹100 Cr From Wipro Consumer Care Ventures, RPSG At ₹500 Cr Valuation

D2C home appliances brand Nuuk is raising around ₹100 Cr (about $10.5 Mn) in a funding round led by Wipro Consumer Care Ventures and RPSG Capital Ventures at a valuation of about ₹500 Cr (about $53 Mn), sources told Inc42.

The proposed fundraise would be larger than Nuuk’s $6.6 Mn Series A round, which it closed in August 2025 following a $2 Mn extension from existing investors Vertex Ventures SEA and Good Capital.

The final round size and valuation could change depending on how the discussions progress, the sources added.

Questions sent to Nuuk, Wipro Consumer Care Ventures, and RPSG Capital Ventures did not elicit a response till the time of publication.

Founded in 2023 by Gazal Kalra, cofounder of logistics unicorn Rivigo, and Shalabh Gupta, former chief growth officer at Noise, Nuuk sells design-focused home and kitchen appliances.

Its portfolio spans cordless vacuum cleaners, fans, heaters, and garment care products, alongside kitchen appliances such as air fryers, juicers, and mixer grinders.

The startup sells through its own website, ecommerce marketplaces Amazon and Flipkart, and quick commerce platform Blinkit. It has also entered offline retail, including a store in Delhi NCR.

While announcing its Series A extension, Kalra told Inc42 that the capital would support portfolio expansion, product innovation, and a wider business footprint. Part of the funding was also earmarked for expanding its domestic supply chain.

In March 2025, Gupta told Inc42 that Nuuk manufactured around 20% of its products in India and aimed to increase this share to over 50% by the end of FY26. Kalra said the company designed its appliances in-house and worked with third-party manufacturers.

On the financial front, Nuuk’s operating revenue rose to ₹16 Cr in FY25 from ₹31.8 Lakh in FY24, according to its MCA filings. FY25 was its first full year of operations. Its net loss widened to ₹39 Lakh from ₹7 Lakh, while expenses increased to ₹16.4 Cr from ₹38.8 Lakh.

The brand competes with established appliance makers such as Philips and Bajaj, alongside newer players including Atomberg and Lifelong.

Investors Back Appliance Startups

Nuuk’s proposed fundraise follows recent investments in home and kitchen appliance startups, with capital going towards product development, manufacturing, and distribution.

In October, smart kitchen brand Beyond Appliances raised ₹110 Cr in a Series B round led by Fireside Ventures, with participation from Dharana Capital and other investors. The startup said it plans to use the funding to establish a manufacturing facility and expand its portfolio into ovens.

Earlier, home appliance brand Nester raised ₹19 Cr in a pre-Series A round in February 2026. Its portfolio includes steam air fryer ovens, toasters, and juicers.

Meanwhile, Inc42 reported last week that upliance.ai was in advanced talks to raise $3-4 Mn in a Series A round. The proposed funding would support R&D, improvements to its interface, and international expansion, with existing backer Khosla Ventures looking to invest further.

The investments point to investor interest in brands developing differentiated appliances – from connected chimneys to automated cooking devices – and building the manufacturing and distribution networks needed to scale.
