Bigg Boss 20: Qazi Touqeer finds support in Russia, watch

Mumbai: Ask a Bigg Boss fan who deserves the trophy and chances are they’ll point to something their favourite contestant did inside the house. For two of Qazi Touqeer’s supporters in Russia, the answer has more to do with where he comes from. Elina Adamova and Dr Sergei Dvorianov have recorded a video for the Kashmiri singer, and it doubles as their prediction for who should win Bigg Boss 20.

‘Qazi Touqeer is our real brother’

In the video, Elina and Sergei refer to Qazi as “our real brother.” As they explain the affection behind those words, the conversation turns to Kashmir, which they describe as the “crown of India.”

That choice of words sets up their message for the singer. If Qazi comes from the crown of India, the two say, then the Bigg Boss crown belongs to him too. Dvorianov, who joins Adamova in making the case for Qazi, has served as vice president and communications director of the BRICS Culture Media Forum.

Before Bigg Boss 20, there was Fame Gurukul

For viewers who remember Qazi’s first brush with reality TV, it has been more than two decades since they first rooted for him. In 2005, he competed alongside a young Arijit Singh on Fame Gurukul and went on to win the singing competition. For many who followed that season, Yeh Pal is still the song they associate with him.

His stint on Salman Khan’s show has also given newer viewers a glimpse of just how popular he was back then. Now, with Elina and Sergei’s video, the singer has another message to add to that collection, this time from Russia.
