IMD Hyderabad forecasts ‘very heavy rain’ today, issues alert
Hyderabad: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) Hyderabad has forecast rain, thunderstorms, lightning and squalls in various districts of Telangana on Wednesday, November 4.
In view of the expected weather conditions, the IMD has issued an orange alert.
Thunderstorms in districts
Telangana is likely to experience widespread rain and thunderstorms today. The weather is expected to be experienced in eastern Telangana districts, including Mancherial, Peddapalle, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Karimnagar, Siddipet, Mulugu, Hanamkonda, Warangal, Jangaon, Mahabubabad, Yadadri Bhuvanagiri, Rangareddy, Nalgonda, Suryapet, Khammam, and Bhadradri Kothagudem.
Apart from IMD Hyderabad, T Balaji, popularly known as the Telangana Weatherman for his rain predictions, has forecast extremely heavy rainfall on November 4.

“Massive flooding rains are expected in Bhadradri-Kothagudem even today, leading to flash floods in the next 24 hours. Heavy rains are also expected in Khammam, Mulugu, and parts of Mahabubabad districts today,” he forecast.
For Hyderabad, he forecast light to moderate rainfall.
IMD forecasts light rain in Hyderabad
While some districts are expected to receive heavier showers, the remaining parts of Telangana, including Hyderabad, are likely to experience light to moderate rainfall today.
Yesterday, the highest rainfall of 231.8 mm was recorded in Bhadradri Kothagudem. Khammam also received heavy rains of 218.6 mm.
In the case of Hyderabad, the highest rainfall of 21.6 mm was recorded in Ameerpet.
In view of the rain forecasts for today by Balaji and IMD Hyderabad, people are advised to plan their activities accordingly.
