Islamabad: From Zayn Malik giving his own spin to Pakistan’s viral hit Tu Hai Kahan to Nick Jonas joining hands with King for Maan Meri Jaan, music collaborations between Asia and the West have given fans some unforgettable moments. And now, it looks like another global music sensation could be heading for a similar crossover. This time, all eyes are on Pakistan’s viral hit Alfaaz and global DJ Alan Walker.

The Norwegian DJ and music producer has landed in Lahore, apparently for a musical collaboration with Hamza Malik and Zain Zohaib, the artists behind the chart-topping track Alfaaz. While no official announcement has been made yet, Walker’s recent social media activity has already sparked excitement among fans.

Alan Walker drops hints about Alfaaz collaboration

Walker surprised his Pakistani fans by sharing a series of Instagram stories featuring the Alfaaz music video. The DJ appeared particularly intrigued by a masked man walking behind the singers in the video, dressed in a style similar to his own signature look.

“Why is there a Walker in the video. Beautiful video btw,” the Faded hitmaker wrote.

The mystery surrounding the masked figure soon caught the attention of Hamza Malik, who responded to Walker on YouTube.

“Hahaha, I appreciate it man! The Walker is a mystery for now… but maybe we can solve it together,” Hamza wrote.

The exchange only added to the speculation about a possible collaboration between the artists.

In another Instagram story, Walker filmed himself at the airport, hinting that he was on his way to Pakistan.

“Hamza has responded me. This song is everywhere. Let’s go to Lahore and finish this,” the DJ said.

Although neither Walker nor the singers have officially revealed what the project involves, the airport video has further fuelled speculation that a new version of Alfaaz could be in the works.

Alfaaz makes history on Spotify Global Top 50

For those unfamiliar with the track, Alfaaz is a viral Pakistani song performed by Hamza Malik and the classical-pop fusion duo Zain Zohaib, comprising Zain Ali and Zohaib Ali.

The song has received widespread international attention and made history by entering Spotify’s Global Top 50 chart, cementing its position as one of Pakistan’s biggest recent musical sensations.

An Alan Walker version of the song could potentially take its popularity to an even wider global audience.

Who is Alan Walker?

Alan Walker rose to international fame in 2015 with his hit single Faded, featuring vocals by Iselin Solheim. The song became a global sensation and earned platinum certifications in 14 countries.

Known for his signature masked appearance, Walker has built an impressive musical career with hits such as Alone, The Spectre, Sing Me to Sleep and Darkside.
