Dubai: Telangana NRI Sheikh Saeed, 40, who was critically injured in the October 10 missile attack on Riyadh International Airport in Saudi Arabia, has died while undergoing treatment at a hospital in Riyadh.

Saeed is the second Indian casualty of the attack, which was reportedly carried out by Yemen’s Houthi militia.

Arrangements have been made for his burial in Riyadh, where he had lived for a decade. He was working at a Starbucks outlet at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh when the attack took place. His family has consented to his burial in Riyadh, according to family sources.

A native of Sailani Baba Colony in Kamareddy, Saeed is survived by his wife, two daughters and a son, all of whom live in Kamareddy. His two brothers are also working in Saudi Arabia.

The Indian Embassy in Saudi Arabia announced Saeed’s death in a social media post. “With a heavy heart, we share that another Indian national, critically injured in the 10 October attack on Riyadh airport, has passed away in ICU,” the embassy said in a post on X.

“We have been by his family’s side throughout, and we remain with them now. We convey heartfelt condolences to the family and friends,” it added.

The first Indian victim of the attack was 46-year-old Hyderabad-based software professional Mohammed Yousuf Ali, a native of Mehdipatnam. He was also buried in Riyadh.
