Worried for daughter, mother seeks police help, stabbed by son-in-law
Hyderabad: Two women were allegedly killed by a relative on Wednesday morning following a domestic dispute in Hyderabad’s Meerpet area.
The accused, Siddiqui, fatally stabbed his mother-in-law, Niranjan B and her daughter-in-law, Reshma.
According to local reports, there were marital tensions between Siddiqui and his wife. Worried about her daughter’s safety, Niranjan B approached the Meerpet Police on the morning of the murder to seek their help.
When the accused learned of this, he went to his wife’s house and started quarrelling. An argument broke out, following which he attacked them with sharp-edged weapons, killing both women.
He escaped the scene. Police have registered a murder case and attempts are on to trace him.
The police shifted the bodies to the mortuary for postmortem examination.
