Excise STF seizes over 3 kg ganja, arrests three in Medchal
Hyderabad: The State Task Force (STF) of the Prohibition and Excise Department seized 3.323 kg of ganja and arrested three persons near Malib Cockfire Pub at Gundlapochampally in Medchal district on Wednesday, November 4.
Acting on credible information about the sale of ganja near the pub, an STF team led by CI Ramesh conducted a raid and seized three packets containing the contraband, weighing a total of 3.323 kg.
The arrested persons were identified as Sheikh Mukhtar (21), Mohammed Ghouseuddin (24) and Buyya Shubham (21).
The team subsequently handed over the accused and the seized ganja to the Medchal Excise Station for further action, CI Ramesh said.
The Excise Department is investigating the case to ascertain the source of the ganja and whether the arrested persons were involved in any other drug-related activities.
