Hyderabad: BRS working president KT Rama Rao congratulated party leaders and cadres in Adilabad district for the success of the Rythu Garjana meeting held on November 1. He urged them to sustain the momentum by intensifying their outreach to people and continuing the fight for farmers’ issues.

Former Minister Jogu Ramanna, BRS leaders Bhargav Deshpande, Jogu Mahender and other district leaders met Rama Rao at Telangana Bhavan here on Wednesday. He welcomed several leaders from other parties into the party fold and called for collective efforts to strengthen the party in Adilabad district.

The BRS working president appreciated the efforts of the party cadre for securing a large turnout of farmers and people from across the district. He asked the party cadre not to treat the success of Rythu Garjana as an end in itself, but to work collectively at the grassroots level, question the government’s failures and continue raising farmers’ concerns.

The leaders said the response to the meeting reflected farmers’ support for the BRS campaign on agrarian issues. They alleged that farmers were facing difficulties due to delays in implementing Rythu Bandhu and Rythu Bima and the Congress government’s failure to fulfil its promises. They recalled the previous BRS government’s initiatives including Rythu Bandhu, Rythu Bima, uninterrupted free power supply and irrigation facilities for farmers.
