Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) commenced its series of camps under the Nationwide Digital Life Certificate (DLC) Campaign 5.0 with camps at New Tinsukia and Dibrugarh on 2nd November, 2026. Organised at the respective offices of the NFR Pensioners’ Association (NFRPA), the camps marked the beginning of NFR’s month-long outreach to help railway pensioners and family pensioners submit their annual life certificates conveniently.

The camps recorded a total attendance of 52 pensioners, with 47 attending at New Tinsukia and 5 at Dibrugarh. Digital Life Certificate details of 35 pensioners and family pensioners were successfully uploaded. An additional camp has been scheduled at Dibrugarh on 6th November, 2026, to facilitate the remaining pensioners in completing the process.

Being conducted from 1st to 30th November, 2026, in accordance with the guidelines of the Department of Pension and Pensioners’ Welfare and the Railway Board, the campaign promotes digital submission of life certificates, with emphasis on Aadhaar based face authentication technology. This facility enables pensioners to generate their life certificates using compatible smartphones, reducing the need to visit banks or pension disbursing offices.

As part of the campaign, camps are scheduled at NFR’s zonal and divisional headquarters, workshops and other locations with a substantial pensioner population, in coordination with NFRPA, banks and concerned agencies. Special attention is being given to pensioners aged 80 years and above, as well as those facing illness or mobility constraints, with provision for doorstep assistance wherever required.

Through this initiative, NFR seeks to make the annual life certificate submission process simpler and more accessible for its retired employees and family pensioners. Eligible pensioners are encouraged to avail themselves of the designated camps and assistance facilities to complete the process within the stipulated period.
