SportE aims to digitise sports academies and facility operations

Hyderabad: Telangana Minister for IT and Commerce D Sridhar Babu on Thursday unveiled SportE, a sports venue and operations management SaaS platform developed by Weblabs for academies and sports facility operators, at the Pullela Gopichand Badminton Academy here.

Former cricketer V Chamundeswaranath and Indian badminton coach P Gopichand were also present.

“Good sports infrastructure needs strong support behind the scenes. With SportE, we want to make technology accessible to the people who run these spaces, so they can give greater attention to the athletes and communities they serve,” said Gopichand, who is also a partner and mentor at SportE.

Initiated alongside partners Srikanth Punati and Shyam Kathuroju, the venture reflects a shared ambition to strengthen the industry through practical digital tools. The “E” stands for “Ecosystem”, expressing a broader vision of connecting infrastructure, coaching, participation and business.

“Sports facilities can establish their digital presence in a few hours through a branded website that showcases their spaces and accepts online bookings. This provides a dedicated destination for marketing and visibility, helping each business build recognition under its own identity,” said Srikanth Punati of SportE.

A central dashboard brings booking records, customer information and payments together, reducing manual coordination across disconnected systems. Operators can connect their own payment gateways and integrate with supported aggregators to coordinate activity across relevant channels while retaining control over their data.

A 30-day free trial allows prospective subscribers to explore the service before making a commitment. The subscription range includes ONE, GROW, SCALE and BEYOND. These options cater to different operational requirements as businesses expand.
