Chiranjeevi’s family gets bigger, new member joins Konidela clan

Hyderabad: Wedding bells are ringing in Tollywood’s Mega family! Chiranjeevi’s extended family is getting ready to welcome a new member, with his nephew and actor Sai Durgha Tej getting engaged to Kiran. The couple celebrated their special day on November 5 at Hilton Hyderabad Genome Valley Resort, surrounded by family and close friends.

And the occasion came with a family portrait packed with familiar faces. Chiranjeevi, Ram Charan and Allu Arjun joined the celebrations, bringing members of the Konidela and Allu families together for the happy occasion.

A special celebration for the Mega family

In the picture shared by Telugu Film Nagar, Sai Durgha Tej and Kiran are seated together at the centre, wearing floral garlands as their loved ones gather around them. The actor opted for a light coloured traditional outfit, while Kiran wore green with pink detailing.

Sharing the photograph, the page congratulated the couple and wished them a lifetime of love and happiness.

The guest list included Chiranjeevi and Surekha, Allu Arjun and Sneha Reddy, Varun Tej and Lavanya Tripathi, Naga Babu, Niharika Konidela and Allu Aravind. Sai Durgha Tej’s parents, Dr. Siva Prasad and Vijaya Durga, and his younger brother Vaishnav Tej were also part of the celebrations.

Ram Charan also shared a photograph of the couple on X and congratulated them on their new beginning, wishing them love, togetherness and happiness.

When is the wedding?

The engagement marks the beginning of the wedding celebrations, with Sai Durgha Tej and Kiran set to tie the knot in Hyderabad on December 10, 2026.

For those unfamiliar with the family connection, Sai Durgha Tej is the son of Chiranjeevi’s sister Vijaya Durga. Known earlier as Sai Dharam Tej, he made his acting debut with Pilla Nuvvu Leni Jeevitham and went on to feature in films such as Supreme, Chitralahari, Republic and Virupaksha.

On the work front, the actor will next be seen in Sambarala Yeti Gattu, which is scheduled for a theatrical release on January 12, 2027. With a December wedding and a film release lined up soon after, an eventful few months await the actor.
