HYDRAA stops sand dumping in Fox Sagar diversion canal
Hyderabad: Hyderabad Disaster Response and Asset Protection Agency (HYDRAA) on Friday, November 6, stopped attempts to encroach the diversion canal of Fox Sagar Lake.
According to the agency, some people were trying to fill the canal with sand and cement using JCBs and tippers. HYDRAA teams stopped the dumping activity and seized three vehicles.
The seized vehicles and their owners were shifted to Pet Basheerabad Police Station. Further investigation is undreway.

HYDRAA teams then undertook the task of clearing the dumped material from the canal. The teams also removed an embankment built around within the lake as part of restoration efforts.
