Hyderabad: Man arrested for allegedly stealing Rs 10 lakh Bolero in Attapur
Hyderabad: The Attapur police have arrested a 28-year-old man for allegedly stealing a Mahindra Bolero vehicle worth Rs.10 lakh from a security agency in Attapur.
According to the police, the suspect, Mohd Abdul Rab, a private employee and resident of Malakpet, has stolen the vehicle on the intervening night of October 19 and 20 at Doberman Security Solutions Private Limited, near Pillar No. 123 in Attapur.
The suspect was acquainted with a family friend, Praveen, who lived near the security agency. During his visits to Praveen’s house, he allegedly noticed that a driver working for the security agency would wash the vehicle and leave its keys near the gate.
The police said the accused had recently been visiting the house regularly. On October 19, he allegedly noticed the keys left at the same spot and stole the vehicle.
The officials said financial difficulties, including six months of pending house rent and expenses involved in shifting to another house, allegedly prompted him to commit the theft.
