Hyderabad: The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) complained to Telangana Chief Electoral Officer C Sudarshan Reddy, alleging irregularities in the graduate voter registration process for the Warangal-Khammam-Nalgonda MLC constituency. The party sought an inquiry into Congress candidate Ramreddy Sarvotham Reddy’s alleged use of a personal website to facilitate Form-18 applications.

The BRS demanded that registration through the website be stopped pending an inquiry and sought action against the candidate, service providers or officials if violations were established. It also requested a written response detailing the action taken.

A BRS delegation led by party general secretary Soma Bharath Kumar, along with senior leaders G Devi Prasad and Kishore Goud, met the CEO at BRKR Bhavan on Monday and submitted a representation.

In its representation, the BRS questioned whether the website “ramreddysarvotham.com” had been authorised by the ECI to facilitate voter registration. It also raised concerns over the collection and handling of applicants’ personal details and supporting documents.

The BRS cited WhatsApp messages carrying Form-18 acknowledgements and alleged links between the candidate-associated website, the official application-status portal and private service providers. It sought a technical audit to establish how applications were processed and whether the official electoral registration system had been accessed or used without authorisation.
