Bihar MLC Election: The results of the Bihar Legislative Council elections are being closely watched as counting takes place across all eight constituencies. The election has become particularly significant with Prashant Kishor's party contesting all eight seats, turning the electoral battle into a triangular contest. In Patna, attention is focused on the Patna Graduate constituency, where Anand Singh's rebellion and his expulsion from the party have added to the political significance of the contest. Vote counting for the Patna Teacher and Patna Graduate constituencies is scheduled to take place at Bankipur School from 8 AM. A total of 150 candidates are in the fray across the eight constituencies. The counting process will begin with first-preference votes. If no candidate secures a decisive result at that stage, second-preference votes will be counted, and the process will continue until a winner is determined. Counting centres have been established in the divisional headquarters cities associated with the respective constituencies, with extensive security arrangements in place. Voting in the graduate constituencies took place on October 23, recording an average voter turnout of 53.52 per cent. The results are expected to provide an indication of the political standing of the major parties and the performance of Prashant Kishor's party in Bihar. With all eight seats witnessing a competitive contest, the counting process will determine which candidates emerge victorious in this important Legislative Council election.
