Indian Overseas Bank (IOB) is observing Vigilance Awareness Week from October 26 to November 1, 2026, in accordance with the Central Vigilance Commission's (CVC) guidelines. The theme for this year is “Probity for Prosperity”. As part of the initiative, IOB's Mumbai Region organised a walkathon on October 23 to raise public awareness about vigilance, integrity and corruption prevention. The bank is also conducting a three-month vigilance awareness campaign from August 17 to November 16, 2026. Various awareness programmes are being organised across its branches in the Mumbai Region to promote transparency and ethical practices. Ranjay Kumar Mishra, General Manager of the Bank, emphasised that continuous alertness and vigilance foster overall development by promoting integrity, proactive problem-solving and continuous self-improvement across personal, professional and social spheres.

He stressed the need for sustained and effective preventive measures to reduce and eliminate corruption.

IOB observes Vigilance Awareness Week annually to commemorate the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on October 31.
