The Bihar MLC election has sparked a high-voltage political contest, and celebrations have already begun at the residence of Anant Singh even before the first counting trends emerge. After being shown the door by the JD(U) amid the political dispute, Anant Singh backed Anuj Singh against his own party’s candidate, Neeraj Kumar, and expressed confidence in Anuj Singh’s victory. Now, visuals from Anant Singh’s residence on Mall Road show preparations for a massive celebration, with an estimated two lakh or more gulab jamuns reportedly prepared ahead of the election results. Supporters have been arriving at the residence in large numbers, where sweets are being served as they await the official outcome. During the ground report, supporters claimed that victory was certain and said preparations for celebrations were made in advance whenever elections take place. One supporter said there was no exact count of the sweets prepared, while others confidently predicted a win. The atmosphere at the residence reflects the confidence among Anant Singh’s supporters, although the official counting trends had not emerged at the time of the report. The contest for the Patna Graduate Constituency has attracted considerable attention, with Anuj Singh, backed by Anant Singh, facing JD(U) candidate Neeraj Kumar and RJD candidate Dilip Patel. Neeraj Kumar has also publicly expressed confidence in his own victory, setting the stage for a closely watched electoral outcome.
