Bihar MLC Election: Neeraj Kumar Confident of Victory, Targets Anant Singh Over Rebellion

The political atmosphere in Bihar has intensified during the MLC election counting, with JD(U) candidate and sitting MLC Neeraj Kumar expressing strong confidence in his victory. The election is being closely watched as a major political contest during the tenure of the Samrat government, with the rebellion involving Anant Singh adding to the political tensions. Speaking during the counting day, Neeraj Kumar alleged that attempts had been made to corner him through money power, muscle power and indirect political pressure. However, he said the support of party workers, enthusiasm among supporters, blessings from elders and the backing of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar had strengthened his confidence. Neeraj repeatedly asserted that he would win the election. He also took a swipe at Anant Singh, who has been suspended from the JD(U) amid the political developments and has since moved towards the RJD, according to the discussion in the report. Neeraj suggested that Jan Suraaj could also be an option for him, adding that the party should not have any objection to such a move. Responding to questions about Anant Singh’s possible legal challenge against the action taken against him, Neeraj said approaching the court was his right and referred to the cases pending against him. He also dismissed Anant Singh’s claim that the JD(U) would lose its political relevance within 25 months, describing such statements as a sign of arrogance. The remarks have added another layer to the political contest surrounding the Patna Graduate Constituency. As counting continues, the final result will determine whether Neeraj Kumar’s confidence translates into victory.
