Hyderabad: Man booked for circulating AI-generated leopard pic

Hyderabad: A painting contractor was booked by Nagole Police for allegedly circulating an AI-generated image of a leopard and sparking panic among locals.
The accused has been identified as Sachin, a native of Hubballi in Karnataka. On Saturday, October 24, he sent a photo of a leopard to his landlord, which he had allegedly created using ChatGPT, and claimed that a leopard had been spotted near Bhashyam School in Fathullaguda, Telangana Today reported.
The image was subsequently shared on social media, sparking fear and panic.
Forest officials received information about the incident and inspected the area on Monday along with the police and found no evidence of a leopard.
Police then identified the image as artificially generated and took action against Sachin.
