Hyderabad: The Telangana Differently-Abled Cricket Management Committee felicitated Sainath Reddy for his selection as a player and Chandrabhan Giri for his selection as a coach for the Indian differently-abled cricket team at the Fateh Maidan Club here.

Former Union Minister S Venugopalachari, SATG chairman Shivasena Reddy and coach G Manohar Reddy were the guests of honour.

Sainath Reddy and Chandrabhan Giri earned national recognition following their selection to represent Team India in the upcoming India vs Sri Lanka Differently-Abled Cricket Tournament, scheduled to be held in Chennai from October 31 to November 2, 2026.

Narender Goud, president of the Telangana Differently-Abled Cricket Association, said, “Being selected for the Indian national team is a matter of immense pride not only for Sainath Reddy and Chandrabhan Giri but also for the entire differently-abled cricket community in Telangana.

“Their success proves that physical disability is no barrier to excelling in sports. By celebrating their achievement, our aim is to encourage more differently-abled youth to take up sports. We hope their journey helps bring greater recognition, opportunities and support for differently-abled athletes across the country,” he said
