Hyderabad: India’s low-cost airline, IndiGo, has extended the cancellation of flights to and from four major Saudi cities until November 14, 2026, citing ongoing airspace restrictions in the region.

In a travel advisory posted on Wednesday, October 28, the airline said services to and from Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam and Madinah would remain cancelled until the revised date.

IndiGo said its teams were contacting affected passengers to provide timely updates and assistance. The airline added that the safety of passengers and crew remained its top priority and that it was closely monitoring developments in the region.

Travel Advisory

In view of the ongoing airspace restrictions in the region, flights to and from Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam and Madinah will remain cancelled until 14 November 2026.

We understand the uncertainty and inconvenience this may cause to our customers and remain committed…

It also said customers would be informed of any further changes and thanked them for their patience and understanding amid the disruptions.

The latest extension comes as Indian carriers, including IndiGo and Akasa Air, have curtailed operations to Saudi Arabian cities. The disruptions have affected travellers, including Indian Umrah pilgrims, prompting the Indian consulate in Jeddah to step up assistance for those facing cancellations and difficulties arranging alternative travel.

The cancellations come amid continuing flight disruptions between India and Saudi Arabia following the prevailing security situation. An attack at Riyadh airport on Saturday, October 10, injured seven Indian nationals.
