Hyderabad:  Taking a swipe at Congress over its dismal performance in MLC elections, Union Minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar on Wednesday said EVMS must be laughing today, saying that the problem lies with the opposition party’s politics and not the machines.

The Congress drew a blank in Karnataka while the BJP won five legislative council seats in Uttar Pradesh and the Samajwadi Party three as results were announced on Wednesday for the biennial elections held in 28 upper house constituencies across four states.

“Zero. Anda. Gadidha Guddu. EVMs must be laughing today, looking at the results and saying…“Ab samjhe? Machine mein nahi, tumhari politics mein problem hain!” (The problem lies not in the machine but in your politics),” Sanjay Kumar, Union Minister of State for Home, said in a post on ‘X’.

‘Gadidha Guddu’ (donkey’s egg) is a Telugu saying which means someone got or brought back nothing.
