Joining Varun Dhawan on the latest episode of Karan Johar’s Koffee With Karan 9, the actress spoke candidly about her relationship with Shikhar Pahariya and the controversy surrounding Peddi. But her cheeky replies about Veer Pahariya and Vedang Raina added an extra serving of spice.

1. Janhvi gets candid about Shikhar Pahariya

According to the actress, people have a thousand things to worry about in their own lives and do not care as much about the couple as one might imagine. For someone whose love life regularly becomes a talking point, that was quite the reality check!

2. The Peddi controversy gets an honest response

The conversation took a serious turn when Karan brought up the backlash over Janhvi’s portrayal in Peddi.

Acknowledging the objectification of her character, the actress admitted she could have been more vigilant and spoken up more strongly. She also recognised that her privilege gave her room to push back, saying she should have used it.

“That shame I will always carry with me,” she said, reflecting on the impact of the portrayal.

The subject resurfaced during the rapid-fire round, too. Asked who she would work with in an Indian version of Fifty Shades of Grey, Janhvi sidestepped the casting question, saying that after the Peddi controversy, she did not want to do that film.

3. Veer and Vedang get the rapid-fire treatment

Now, this is where the Koffee turned extra hot!

Asked what dating advice she would give Veer Pahariya, Janhvi replied, “Never take her to a concert.”

The remark appeared to reference the much-discussed onstage interaction between Tara Sutaria and AP Dhillon. Janhvi did not name Tara, but the possible connection was hard to miss. Whether it was a deliberate dig remained unconfirmed.

And Veer was not the only one getting a pointed response.

When Karan brought up Vedang Raina, Varun jumped in with “Main vaapas aaunga,” referencing his work. Janhvi’s comeback? “Nahi, mat aane do.”

Given the dating rumours surrounding Vedang and her sister Khushi Kapoor, the reply certainly leaves room for questions. A protective elder-sister moment or simply rapid-fire banter? Janhvi offered no explanation, and the remark alone does not establish what happened between the two.
