Hyderabad: Officials from the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), Food Safety and Drug Control departments conducted simultaneous inspections at Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS) in Punjagutta on Thursday following allegations of corruption and irregularities.

A team of around 10 ACB officials, led by Central Investigation DSP Lakshmi Kanth Reddy, inspected records in the hospital’s administrative section.

Meanwhile, four food inspectors checked the NIMS canteen, while another team of four drug inspectors inspected the surgical stores. The drug inspectors examined medicines, medical equipment and records related to their storage.

The food safety team focused on the hospital canteen, while the ACB team scrutinised administrative records as part of its investigation into the alleged irregularities.
