Cyclone Murasu tears through coastal Andhra Pradesh, leaves trail of destruction
Severe Cyclonic Storm Murasu made landfall near Kothapatnam in Andhra Pradesh’s Prakasam district, bringing winds of up to 120 kmph and heavy rainfall. The storm uprooted trees, damaged fishing boats, flooded roads and left several residents stranded. Authorities have launched rescue operations, evacuated vulnerable families and urged people to stay indoors as more heavy rain is forecast across coastal districts.
