Hyderabad: The India Meteorological Department (IMD), Hyderabad, has forecast thunderstorms, lightning and squalls in various districts of Telangana until November 3.

In view of the expected weather conditions, the IMD has issued a yellow alert.

Moderate rains in districts

Telangana is likely to experience widespread rainfall and thunderstorms over the next few days. Between November 2 and 4, moderate to heavy showers are expected in some districts.

T Balaji, popularly known as the Telangana Weatherman for his rain predictions, has forecast active rainfall across the state from October 30 to November 4 after a prolonged dry spell.

According to his forecast, several districts are likely to receive moderate to heavy rainfall between November 2 and 4 due to a depression or cyclone expected to move towards the Ongole–Machilipatnam coast around November 2 or 3.

Hyderabad may receive light to moderate rain

While some districts are expected to receive heavier showers, the remaining parts of Telangana, including Hyderabad, are likely to experience light to moderate rainfall over the next five to six days.

In view of the forecasts by Balaji and IMD Hyderabad, people are advised to plan their activities accordingly.
