Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on the second day of his Gujarat visit, with a series of programmes planned to mark the 151st birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. At around 9 am, the Prime Minister is scheduled to reach the Statue of Unity in Ekta Nagar and pay floral tribute to the Iron Man of India. Following the tribute, Modi will inaugurate and lay the foundation stones for several development projects worth more than ₹400 crore in Ekta Nagar. His itinerary also includes visits to the Rainforest and Bonsai Garden. In the evening, the Prime Minister will attend the National Unity Day celebrations organised to commemorate Patel’s birth anniversary. The programme will feature the Ekta Parade, showcasing the discipline and courage of security forces. The National School of Drama is scheduled to present a special performance on a Naxal-free India. Another major attraction will be a grand cultural performance featuring around 5,000 artists from across the country. The celebrations aim to highlight Sardar Patel’s contribution to national integration and spread the message of unity. The programme follows the Run for Unity organised in Delhi, which was flagged off by Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
